CMA asks its members to contribute for capacity building

                               NOTICE FOR MEMBERS
                    Capacity Building of CMA Professionals
 
The Continuing Professional Development Directorate is engaged in the capacity building of the members of the Institute through the various targeted objectives in its portfolio.
The Directorate offers a platform to the members of the Institute,where volunteer CMAs would get opportunity to share their expertise and experiences with the fellow members by acting as a Discussion leader, Speaker or Faculty in the CPD programmes and CPD Webinars.This voluntary effort of the member would act as a motivational force and build team spirit.


In order to foster and develop professional fellowship and exchange professional knowledge amongst the members, interested CMAs may please come forward to contribute to the profession by supporting the CPD activities of the Institute.

President



CMA Dr. A.S. Durga Prasad is an accomplished executive with over 37 years’ experience in Financial Management and Cost Management in variety of industries. His experience includes Financial Advisory Services, strategies and business development for small and medium industries and providing cost management systems and MIS systems for large number of units.
Has been involved in all facets of corporate strategic management, including developing business models, financial structuring, Mergers and Acquisition, Valuation of Companies, Capital structuring and advising clients on the future plan related to fund raising. He was involved with number of Public Offers and was advisor number of companies. He is currently MD & CEO of a Business Process Management company and Director of a boutique Investment Banking company.
Past Chairman of Southern India Regional Council of ICWAI. He was a visiting faculty with many institutions and regular speaker at Industry and Academic forums. Member of several academic institutions on the Board of Studies and Governing Council.

Entire CMA (Cost Accountants of India) Council resigns

The Entire Central Council of CMA India has resigned owning to the fact that the demands of the fraternity has not been considered and met by the Corporate Affairs Ministry.
A letter has been addressed to Arun Jaitley by the CMA Council that Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has laid down regressive rules which are below expectations. Also while framing these rules, the Institute was not taken into conidence and neither any representation was considered before finalising the said rules.
On Moral ground, for failure to change the said regressive rules, all the Central Council members have submitted their resignations.
