Announcement on Grant of Fellow Membership on the basis of service. - (11-12-2014) ICAI

Regulation 5 (3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 provides for eligibility to become a fellow member of the Institute on the basis of service in specified industries and organizations

An associate member is eligible for admission as a Fellow Member if he/she satisfies the eligibility conditions laid down under Regulation 5(3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 as under;

For the purpose of sub-section (3) of section 5, an associate shall be deemed to have acquired the experience normally acquired as a result of continuous practice for a period of five years as a chartered accountant, if he:-

(i) being in government service or being employed in an educational institution approved by the Council or being employed in a private or government, industrial, commercial or trading undertaking, is ordinarily holding or has ordinarily held for a continuous period of not less than 5 years, any one or more posts carrying duties relating to accounts, costs accounts, audit, finance, taxation, company law and or secretarial work;

e-Samadhan portal for resolving the professional queries raised by members of ICAI

Subject: e-Samadhan portal for resolving the professional queries raised by members of ICAI

The Committee for Capacity Building of CA Firms & Small and Medium Practitioners (CCBCAF& SMP) of ICAI as a part of its commitment to strengthen the Small & Medium Practitioners, has developed the 'ICAI Connect' portal which is a self service portal for the members of ICAI.
The 'ICAI Connect' contains an 'e-Samadhan' portal. The 'e-Samadhan' portal is a query board created to resolve the professional queries of the Members of ICAI. The members of ICAI may post their queries on various areas of the CA profession on the 'e-Samadhan' portal and the Committee will facilitate replies to their queries by experts in the relevant fields. The e-Samadhan portal will be opened for posting the queries on Issues of Income Tax for Members of ICAI on January 25, 2014 and these queries will be resolved by panel of experts. The queries will be answered on 'first come first serve' basis. Only the first 70 queries posted on the portal will be answered. Members are requested to limit their query to 300 characters.
You are hereby requested to visit the ICAI Connect portal i.e. ssp.icai.org. You may log in to ssp.icai.org and click on 'e-samadhan' to register your query. We also request you to post your query pertaining to Issues of Income Tax on the aforesaid portal. We look forward to resolving your query at the earliest, preferably within three working days.
