Shop Act Registration under Shop and Establishment online application now mandatory. Documents and Checklist

READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING FOR SHOP ACT LICENSE IN MAHARASHTRA

Shop Act Registration which is compulsory for Business setup in Maharashtra under the Shop and Establishment Act, 1948 has gone online now and is mandatory from 01.11.2015

The new registration for Shop Act can be done on http://lms.mahaonline.gov.in/Login/Login website. The website is user friendly. Click on 'English' option at Top Right corner for website to be displayed in English language.

Click on 'CREATE EMPLOYER USER PROFILE' to register new profile. The options will be to click on 'INDIVIDUAL OR FIRM/COMPANY/ORGANISATION'. Select accordingly.

Enter your mobile number. An OTP will be generated and sent on your mobile for verification.

Enter Full name in English. The website will generate details Marathi font automatically.

Select Gender: Male or Female or Transgender

Enter details of PAN, Aadhar whichever is available

Email ID of the Applicant. A verification link will be sent on Email which needs to be clicked for profile creation.

Password: Password should contain atleast one numbers from 0 to 9,atleast one small and capital alphabets, atleast one special character from @#$%' and the length of password should be minimum 7 to maximum 20. Example- Labour@123

Login again once successful email verification is done.

Click on 'Shop and Establishment Registration'

Select Division out of the following options:

Konkan / Nashik / Pune / Aurangabad / Nagpur

Kolhapur Sangli Solapur Satara are also part of Pune Division. 

Thereafter select Office Name i.e. jurisdiction

Details required to be filled are as below:

Ownership of Premises : Rental or Self-owned

Address of Office, storeroom, godown, warehouse or work place if any, other than the above address. Should be filled only when office,storeroom etc is not separately registered under the Act.
